Reading

Students are required to meet their Accelerated Reading Goal each Trimester. You can keep track of their progress on the AR Home Connect Site. Use your child's AR password to log in. ( Refer to Accelerated Reader page on this site.)

Students are required to take AR reading quizzes each week. You will be notified via email with the score earned whenever your child takes a test (provided I have an up to date email address for you). The number of tests students take depends on their AR Reading Goal, but all students should be meeting a minimum of 1 point per week. Reading goals are based on reading skills assessed on the STAR Reading test administered monthly.( Refer to Accelerated Reader page on this site.)

Students are expected to read 20 minutes per day. This is parent monitored accountability, there is no reading log required.

Math

To keep skills sharp, students can practice the current math subject via one of sites or a site of your choosing. Frosteez has practice for all grade levels in all subjects.
